My Experience
I have worked in computing and software systems for over forty years. During that time, I have observed consistent patterns in how technology is developed, presented, and ultimately used.
My focus has always been on structure, reliability, and practical function. I am less concerned with trends, and more with whether a tool performs its role effectively over time.
Software, in my view, should not require unnecessary interpretation. It should be clear, stable, and fit for purpose.
The observations I share here are based on long-term experience and measured evaluation.
Areas of Expertise
Software systems analysis, Digital audio workstations (DAWs), Long-term software reliability, Workflow structure and efficiency, Plugin architecture and integration, Technical evaluation of software tools, Usability and interface assessment
The Technology I Use
My work is based on tools I have used and evaluated over many years, rather than brief testing.
I operate across several digital audio workstations, including Cubase, Pro Tools, and Ableton Live, selecting each based on its suitability for the task. For processing, I rely on plugins from FabFilter, iZotope, and Waves, chosen for their consistency and reliability.
My setup remains deliberately simple: a stable system, accurate monitoring, and dependable hardware.
New tools are approached with caution. The priority, at all times, is clarity, stability, and function.
